Quit teasing us. It better be ready by May. What the hell are you up to?
You have traction issues this I know, because you bought slicks.
And what takes 3 months?? AWD is my guess. Come on throw us a bone.

If you want to know whats up, come out to the Tail of the Dragon Meet. That will be the first time to see my car. I'll make it worth the trip. wink.gif People dont call me RC King for nothing. tongue.gif And no hints.

Everyone just come out to the meet, I'll be driving close to 13 hours to get there. I'm expecting to see more people on the list.

I got something for JGreening, We'll see how his car holds up.

Bah...I might be inclined to accept a challenge...from a real car! LOL. If you were a real enthusiast, you would share your plans with your fellow brothers. At least tell us this - are you planning on replacing the stock fuel system?

The only thing I will have new is some 235 treads...and, some skirts.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

a hydralic jack that you can support the frame up...just in case...never trust the jackstands...

You'll be fine, just make sure that you get yourself a hydralic jack that you can support the frame up with just in case when you go down and get dirty underneath. I never trust the jackstands when im under it. I always make sure that I have something when I need to make a clean escape if the car ever falls....

a hydrolic jack will drop a car very easily.....as it can raise and lower
and sway back and forth

jackstands are a FIXED heavy duty support that is THE #1 safest way to hold your car in the air

jay, maybe we can settle the argument over on mr2oc about the disco potato VS the '27 down @ the meet this year..... laugh.gif HAHAHAHAHA
NOT!!
that topic was too funny, it almost reminded me of being here at times..lmao
i mean, yea, i know the 27 can make 300whp...ON RACE GAS!!
seems like, with a proper tune, and enough fuel, 300whp would be EASILY attainable with the 'RS on pump, with less boost.
why even compare the 2? lol laugh.gif

You know, I thought BOTH camps were childish in that thread. They are both great turbos for the 3s and there is no question that the ct-27 is the value leader. For most people, the ct-27 (or ct20b) is the right solution because the extra costs of the gt28rs are difficult to justify. If I can reduce my wheel spin with larger summer tires, I will be very satisfied though. Right now, I can't put the power to the ground. My timing has also been getting pulled fairly regularly on 93 octane so I have been kicking around the idea of going to water injection....we will see.

i totally agree, jay. moreover, i do think that the extra cost involved with the 'RS setup is just as worth it, if not more in the long run, no matter how you slice it. just a matter of putting up the $$ to start with.
also,
before you know it aaron will have rom tunes available for the RS..im sure that would help you with timing..and prolly net you a few more ponies @ the same boost level...hehehe
god, i LOVE BOOST!
=)

I am going to swap resonators to try to quiet mine down. I hate how loud it is. If that doesn't work, I am going to have a silencer made. The thing is truly annoying....especially for a guy in his 30's.

Just playing with ya on the other stuff....although it will be fun to see what these cars will do head to head. Perhaps a little contest might bring out some more people. I will throw a case of beer on some kind of interesting bet....

I wonder if Art and Erik might like in on the action? What about Bboy? Itchy? Are they coming? Manny should be ready and I am sure he will be game. This is really a "once-in-6gc-ownership" kind of thing with all these cars and I hope people will get off the lame ass excuses and make a committment - especially all you east coasters. If I drive 15 hours to get there, you guys should be able to do half that.
