If you are doing a tranny swap, I've been told there is some trick you can do to keep the same ecu (but wire the clutch pressed switch in, instead of the shift lock switch. It was posted on the old celica.net way back when (I think a guy named Dazed - something posted it....I will do some searching...)

Not sure if that's why you needed it or not, but just a heads up...

sugarfree didn't you just buy the BEAMS engine? If so, you will need the ECU for that engine.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

The beams will come with an ECU and harness, but im wanting to buy an ECU and harness for a Manual GT because im going to send both Beams and GT harness and ECU to Dr. Tweak so he can harness them for me, while i can still use my car to drive.

You don't need the GT ecu. Just get the harness. smile.gif
