Tons can be done to the Celica to iprove its performance but that's with a price. Everywere you go you see some Civic with an exhaust or any other upgrade, but it is hard to find the fixed up Celica. Not that many around my way and that makes it much better I think but at the same time worse. It's harder to find upgrades for our Celicas than it is for our rival Civic.

Thats why i love 6g's. I am sure i have said this before, but i am about to say it again. I would much rather have my celica and actually have to think when i plan on upgrades to my car than own a civic and have the ability to upgrade with my eyes closed and my hands tied behind my back. Dont get me wrong, i love hondas, and if i didnt have my celica i would probably be driving a civic hatch with a jdm h22a. But Celicas are for a smarter breed of driver! biggrin.gif

To see a 6g Celica fixed up could force many double takes, but for a civic, it's just to common I think. I'd must agree, it's better to take the path less taken so now it can be much more appreciated that we have to work a bit harder to get what we want.

What mods do your friend with the SI have?

Do ya'll think 5G is worth the money? I think so. Assuming 4G for 6GC(94-95-96+ w/high mileage) plus 5G totalling up to 9G for a race ready car starting @255(?not sure)hp AWD/??. AWD will give you a good head start launch(if i'm correct on this). With the setup done you can then start getting custom parts. Believe me you'll be surprised that homedepot/orchard supplies have quite a few things that you could make in place of name brand performance items.

I believe that our 6GC is capable of hitting at least 13s with the 3S-GTE swap with minor mods. In my opinion, money ain't a thing when it comes to uniqueness. It is a type of item that can be restored over time. And time can buy you your pleasures. Even though it may take awhile, what's more important? money or rare/good/priceless items that can be bought with money?

I agree with No0bOne, I think that you can spend around 4-6k for a 6gc and then another 5k (at the most) for a 3sgte totaling around 9-11k for a race car that is ready to hit the streets. 255hp and possible AWD is spanking for just an engine with minor mods if any. Also with minor mods like he said, we could probvably run 13's fairly easy. Now just think if ya added some NOS LoL smile.gif OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHH

all i know is that suposedly he has spent almost 15,000 on the car...and as for the lancer ...it can take him in first but after that he leaves that car behind....i think my friend told me he has somewere between 400-500hp and he only gets like 100miles per tank of gas or some **** like that so yes its powerful...if u wanna know exact mods i can ask next time i see him
