well i got my car fixed finally costing me 400 which isnt too bad after having 153k on it, but anyway back to more important things. I have a 12 disc cd changer in the trunk and i need a better sound system to go with it, any suggestions for speakers that have good bass power to them because i need trunk space for other stuff so unless i cant my golf clubs in the trunk, there will be no subwoofer in the trunk or backseats.

If you're up for some work, you could put 8" subs in the doors and then put some 5.25" or 6.5" speakers somewhere else, such as in custom kick panels. If you just want to replace the speakers in the door, let us know and we can suggest some good speakers for that. wink.gif

just to warn you, don't mess w/ the 4" speakers in the door you pretty much can't put anything else there. The 6 1/2s in the rear are really simple to install and i installed midbass kickers in my front doors. good luck.

u can buy a bass tube that doesn't take up much space. U can install free-air subs in your front doors if u want alittle bump.

I have a coupe and fit a JL 10" powerwedge in the trunk and can still fit my golf clubs/bag. Replacing the rear speakers as mentioned with 6.75" isn't a problem. But unles you live in Europe or Australia, you will have to make do with 6.75" speakers with an adapter to replace the 8" door speakers. The corners where the mirrors are mounted make an excellent spot for tweeters though not the perfect place. Also be aware you might need an amp etc., so you could easily start spending some money. In the beginning I just wanted to replace my factory am/fm radio, now I have replaced all speakers, installed an amp, added a sub, and have a new headunit and 5 disc in dash player. I'm holding off adding a second amp, and upgrading my speakers again. smile.gif
