I'm getting realllll pissed with this firefox browser! For some reason, it wouldn't play any video that used Windows Media Player from sites that have videos directly on the page and unavailable for actual download (putfile, streetfire, etc.). And YES, I did have the latest version of firefox. Well, I uninstalled it then re-installed it and for a few days I could view the vids, now it won't let me watch them!

On windows media player (in the browser window) where it usually says "buffering" for a video, it just says "ready" and nothing else. Hitting the play button does nothing to remedy this.

Any ideas? I would use internet explorer but it has e-aids and brings up 2391234981234 pop-ups (i frequently use ad-aware, spy-bot s&d, and have google popup blocker installed).

I have had that issue its a codec problem, means that you either dont have the codec or the version you have is exspired, it does not tell you anything other then buffering/ready because its not the full WMP, just a little plug-in player.

well popups are very easy to get rid off, programs like add-ware, and spybot dont do much for em, try getting a program like spy docter.
