I'm planning to buy cheap cars that are for sale at auto auctions and fix them up and then sell them. What im looking for to buy mostly are hondas cause they are simple to fix and not so complex to swap.
So my plan is to buy a car that had minor fender damage and no frame damage. Then fix it up with some aftermarket parts such as Z3 fenders, paint and body kit then sell it for double the rpice of what I paid for it. What do you guys think? How much would you pay for a 4-DR '93 civic Dx, that was loaded with an B-16 Si engine Automatic of course? |

i do the same thing for extra cash. i get ford probes for cheap around here. fix what needs fixed, paint the interior, chop the muffler and can make about 2-3 times what my final out-of-pocket is.
good side job. -------------------- Jared Harwell

I'm gonna start doin the same thing. I get a wholesale discount on cars at work so I'm gonna have an extra car around to fix up and then sell for like twice the money

I have an IS300 right now that needs new bumpers, hood, doors (one side) and fenders. Once im done fixing it I will be able to sell it for three times what I bought it for though.

if you know a lot of stupid highschool kids that are into the whole rice thing then it would work. the other day i heard some kid with a perfectly clean looking corolla S (2006) saying that he wanted to trade it for some gsr/type r/siR crap(i get them confused). the car had to be like a beat up 92-95. im like wow bro, u amaze me everyday. i just run out of things to say. its a FACT that adding aftermarket parts to any car lowers the value of it, engine swap, that too. how much would i pay for the 93 civic? no more than 2500. and the only thing helping the value of that is that its automatic. in the real world, automatic tranny equipped cars are worth more than manuals in most cases. but if u live in an area with a lot of those hooked up hondas(not all hooked up hondas are ugly. i just think some people have some real bad taste.) and theres a lot of kids like my friend that think those cars are worth anything near $5,000 then its a great business and a smart way to make some extra cash. i say go for it.
