Today I went and saw an ss2 celica 1998 beams engine it was way better than what I had expected all apart from the rims that had a scratch on the front left ones some other rims have curbing as well though frown.gif the seats are supportive, the engine sounds awesome and it is very quick it was silver and had a small scratch on it they wanted $10,995 for it there is another one in Hamilton which is $11500 but it's white and silver looks better. Are the 1998 ss2's rare coz the car dealer said they are quite hard to find even though I have seen 3 for sale so far. He said I seemed to know more about the car than what he does lol. laugh.gif they leave their cars idling the celica was almost on empty.

Don't let the condition of the rims affect your decision when you're looking for a car. Rims are relatively inexpensive and can easily be replaced. The odds of you finding a car with rims that you actually like, AND are in good shape are very slim!

Bring a camera next time and take pics so you can post them on the board!

SS-IIs are common.

SS-IIIs are unusual. SS-IIIs with BEAMS power are hens teeth.

mine is ss2 with beams

the difference of ss2 and ss3 is the bodykit, the big gt4 spoiler and the super strat rear suspension... that was option on ss2. nothing else.

ss2 was the GT no? without the Beams?????

thought the only celica with the vvti beams was the SS3 - there is definitely no 200ps ssII offering from toyota anyway.

ss3's ain't that rare in Ireland anyway.

saw a toms altezza recently now thats a hens tooth

I'm confused why they leave them running at all times... If I am going to buy a car I want to check it out at cold startup to see how it acts. They might run fine when they're warmed up, but how is it when its cold?
