I put on a throttle body spacer today and it is making the throttle cable extend, where do I adjust the slack on the cable?

yeah...it looks like your spacer made that bracket to be in the wrong place... you probably will have to figure out how to move it over or get rid of the spacer...

what is the point of it anyway?

Yeah that was how I was able to adjust the idle, and driving it around for a little bit today I havent had any problems with it, and the way the spacer is designed its supposed to allow better air flow, Ive noticed a bit of a gain and its louder. Plus I havent really seen anyone else do this before so I thought Id try it out...

Yeah plus with the breather filter on it it makes like a metallic cricket noise from all the exposed valve clatter.
My first intake did that with only 30K miles on the car. Get a peice of hose and set it up right. Since you are into the red stuff like me you can even get a red hose for a couple of bucks at a descent performance shop.

Are you sure you really got gains with this? Were did you get it and how much did you pay? If it's not to expensive, it might be something I would do.

Thats what I got, its not that inexpensive but I think its worth it. I wish I had Dyno hook ups so I could get a reading.

Do you know why you had to adjust the throttle cable? The reason is that this spacer is for the 97-99(5sfe) celicas with a different throttle body assembly and throttle cable placement. The way you have it hooked up with the cable that is not secured with bolts on both sides, is dangerous because if it falls off while your driving you can't accelerate anymore. I suggest to drill new hole on the bracket so you can give the cable more slack or sell it. I just don't want you to get hurt.

Hmm thats a good point, it seems pretty secure in the little holding area its in now, plus the first bolt is tighted up against the mounting thing...
