I have a 21" LCD viewsonic and I play ALOT of games, HL, CS, CS:S, Quake2:gloom, Battlefield2 and a few others. But I have no problems what so ever, and having no glare in CS:S makes a world of a difference. I say go for it. But a LCD screen that big might make things distorted, i dunno never tryed it tho.

you gotta get more specs on it before you buy tho, because lcd tv's are usually made for tv viewing, not usually great for computers. For starters, find out the native resolution of the lcd tv.. if it's 800x600 or something small, you'll cry if you try to use it as a computer monitor.
Get a model # and post it here and it'll be pretty easy to tell how good it is. |

I imagine it would be somewhat like running a computer through a regular TV, all crappy looking even though the screen is huge -------------------- 1999 Celica GT

if your going to buy a big lcd for games etc....
you need to make sure it had a low refesh rate like >16 ms or the image will ghost around when you move. |

ok guys I bought the tv and all I can say holy crap this thing is amazing. the screen is beautiful and the ms time is >8ms so playing counterstrike was not an issue. The only thing i recommend for people looking for similar 26" setups and larger is make sure you are connecting through dvi cause the text is not the clearest when going through vga but for playing cs at 1240 x 7xx, this thing is pretty flawless. if anyone is thinking about purchaseing one, these go on sale a lot at compUSA but the thing to remember is to get the HVX model from olevia and not the HTE model cause there is a world of difference in the two. also the HVX model has 1600:1 contrast ratio and my computer is running it at 1360 x 768 and i had to do little adjustments here and there but im very happy i made the investment plus its got 4 yrs of carry in service
