Well, its time for me to decide where i want to goto college... ive already been accepted to Texas Tech and Texas, but i had another idea... i was thinking why not goto Comunity College for a year in that state and obtain residency, and then goto school as a resident (for money reasons). So im wondering, should i goto Colorado, California, or NY. Those are my 3 choices. Acceptance isnt a problem, cuz im in the top 5 percent and my test scores are pretty good...

All of the schools im considering in these areas have the majors i want.

Just want some extra feed back...

-Josh.

i go to CSU so im biased. even if i was out of state i would consider going here. great school and colorado is just a great place, lots of stuff to do. if you like outdoor activities this is the place. also fort collins is an awesome college town. city itself has been ranked as one of the top ten in nation. CU is a nice college too. i considered it but after visiting boulder and touring the campus, it just wasnt for me (too liberal for me). if your looking into engineering, CSU has a good program for it. CU has a good business program ive heard. front range community college is here in town too, my girlfriend goes there and likes it. why you want to go out of texas? its just my opinion but i wouldnt want to go to school in california or new york. check out CSU and fort collins, im sure youll like it.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

well thanks, alot of good info there..Ive talked to a few CSU reps including the lacrosse coach, so im kinda leaning towards there... i have nothin against texas, i love this place, i just dont wanna spend my whole life in one place...id like to take as many opportunities to explore as possible. Liberal schools arent too much of a problem ( i live in austin, home of the liberals) but yea...

It really depends on what area you want to study. I'm going to a UC next year, which is great if you like big schools with lots of programs, opportunities and professors. It's not so great if you want personal contact with all of your professors, a smaller environment, small campus, or small intro classes. first year econ, chem and bio classes literally have 100-400 students at lectures, so if you don't mind being a number, they are great ways to meet lots of ppl and have tons of class choices and activities. Also, although all UCs give great educations, different UCs are better in different depts. for example, davis has agriculture, berkeley has business, irvine has ecology, criminology, sociology, san diego has science, ucla is all around good.

btw, are you a junior or a senior? lots of college admission deadlines already passed if youre a senior.

well if you read my thingy, i said that i would goto Comunity college for a year if i go with the outastate idea. Ive already gotten accepted to all the texas schools i applied to, and im not wanting people to consider different programs, because like i also already said, i have researched schools and have ideas of what schools i would goto in each area.

i know im biased but seriously, ca has the nicest weather, best looking girls, friendliest atmospheres... you are going to get about the same education/opportunities where ever you go to school. Ca is just nice all around.
