well i suggest a rules and regulations post for future members who intend to set up GB. and also needs to consult either Coomer, Defgeph or Presure2 before the GB can be approved or.. vendors GB only. i think this will not lead to any of this confusion and dissatisfaction etc.. just muh 0.2c

Yes, that's exactly what we need, and management is working on something like this.

Shouldn't Romas (doggy) be in that group too? He IS a mod and if he thinks someone is suitable to run a gb then that should be satisfaction enough, ESP since his name is on the line by creating the product

I recommend that you limit your regulation to full disclosure by the person running the group buy. If you set up rules about who can and can't run group buys, you are just going to cut down on the availability of options for the members, cut out competition and drive up the cost of parts. Its Economics 101.

And Coomer, like I said, I think the bickering back and forth IS a good reason for moderator action. I just don't see the benefit of deleting the thread or suspending priviledges in these situations.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Nope i dont think im necessary in this group. Im glad Chris chosed me as Mod, but i dont want to stick in all this Judging process, cuz most of the time my point of view is different when some opther people cuz i was born/rised/lived in a different country WITCH has different way of life and different point of view - and as majority of members on 6gc are USA members, let the judgung be done by people who KNOW enviroment of all this 100 times better then me.

And as long as im a producer of the stuff more or less, i dont want what some people started to look at my like i have some "forces" over some other people if i do some judging what might look to people as not "fair".

yeah i agree. it just seems like this is all about the few extra bucks he added to the price. if he was taking a huge hit on those group buys, then no one would be taking action agains him, no matter how much bickering was going on in his threads. give the kid a break.

what about in this case:
Someone runs a GB as usual, but Does NOT want the item being purchased.
Should they be able to get the value of the item by adding some $ to the others?
see, this case does NOT work w/ ViS, but it still works.

THOUGHT OF ONE
Example: Romas was selling something i did a GB for, but i didn't want them. We set a target # of sales he wanted, and i tried working it out to where i got the value of the item, and the price was still cheapest(he worked w/ me to get this done)
of course it didn't happen, and instead i made near nothing, but the work was near nothing...so no biggie smile.gif just some paypal fun w/ Romas, and Text messages

btw Romas, those Texts ran up my phone bill like $15, lmfao
i guess i get charged for overseas texting???

i know that isn't typed out well up top, i may try retyping later.

You shouldnt have anything to do with the GB if you dont want the part. Thats elimating the prupose of the GB.
GB = cheapest price possible

i was asked to do a certain GB, which i didn't add money to, nor making anything out of, but it is known as my "best" GB, lol

sarcasm included, that GB ruined me, and many's opinion of me

*edit*: Cheapest price is Wholesale, btw

GB is just a group going for the same goal in order to drive down price.
i called Bulletproof on a GB for us, but they SUCK w/ GBs
runner gets like $12 off, everyone else gets $5-10 off they're already insanely "jdm" prices

this whole thing is stupid. Just let it go.

but since it is here I will give my opinion....

dustin15brown bought the lotus skirts knowing someone else really wanted them (not me). dustin15brown's reasoning (what he told me) was to either put them onto his new celica he would be getting in the summer and/or to send them to Romas to be reproduced. I told him about how much the skirts would cost to get shipped to Lithuania (I have shipped a few parts to Romas before) and I told him it would cost big $$. Romas is a busy guy, he has many other parts he is producing and these would take some time. He also said if there was no interest from a GB then he would sell them for the cost he got them.

So knowing he paid $225 for the skirts and the cost to send to Romas I told him that there was no way these were gonna be available to members at a reasonable price (under $300). Especially since the "dealer option" skirts are only $327.

So after all of this we find out he is making at least $30 on each set of skirts, that is at least $30 less that anyone who was interested in the GB could of paid for each set of skirts. At least $30 out of a members pocket to another...that IMO isn't right. "Community" and "members helping members" is not what that is all about in my book.

So, if you bought a keychain you paid $2 more than you should have. And if you were going to buy a set of lotus skirts, you would of paid at least $30 more than you should have. Just wrong...

This isn't the donate your hard earned $$ to someone overcharging you site. Rip people off on ebay, not here.

do you just not thoroughly read things? I justified the extra expenses earlier, and they were reasonable. The keychain gb that you keep referring to wasn't me expecting money, it was someone else suggesting it, and I don't know of any who says "No, I do not want free money, esp since the keychain price isn't going to go up by you giving me a percentage"
