whats the deal with these myspace msgs? Options

every few weeks i get a msg from some totally hot girl that says how she just moved her or some crap and that i should email or IM her at another address.

whats the deal with these? i mean, do they spam the crap out of you when you send an email ? what about the IM, virus? its pretty easy to figure out the msgs are a scam, but i just dont understand what the point is?

just as i posed this, i got another one. this one was worded differently and she says how she goes to visit her cusin in my area often (lol profile says she in hawaii ) and how i should try to contact her on the new webcam she has setup at some site....lol

no but my insurance isnt bad at all, im only 17. and yea my myspace is like heavily attracted to bands, i dont get the hot girls messaging me, i get like 10 friend requests a day from random terrible bands. its just as bad as the spam.
