For all of you that didn't know, (and I hope it's not many) Stephen Harper of the Conservative party just got elected to be Canada's new Prime Minister. I did some massive volunteer work this weekend for the Conservatives, so it's good to see the win. Just wondering what everyone else thinks of his win, hint hint to the Canadian forum members (all 4 of you)

i think we r f*cked. I voted NDP, Im kinda relived that the liberals arent in power again though. I think we would have been worse off if Martin was back as the PM again. I kinda wanted the NDP to win though. Layton had a good agenda but only the younger voters where voting for him because the older ones are still pissed off with the NDP for the whole education and school crap they had to deal with about 10 or 12 years ago.

yeah i heard this on the news.
well hopefully most of u guys arent scared of ur head honcho like alot of us are down here! i went up to canada and was told you guys are even scared of our president! :-) lol! we will see what the future holds for both our countries -------------------- Cruisin down the street in my Infiniti...always lookin for my next trip to Sin City

no...see..ur close nat. Canadians are scared of W. We are scared about how bad hez gonna F*CK the rest of the world up..lol And most canadians dont fallow politics 2 much..ie, we think about it when theirs an election..after that..not so much untill next election..at least thats the way it is with most of my friends and family.
