yep, exactly like that kash.

In all honesty, power is not that relevant, as long as it is clean power. 500W is a good place to start for the two 12" subs at 2 ohm.

(I used to feed my single 12 680WRMS @2ohm.... hehehehe - I don't have a sub at the moment)

hmm .. sorry too keep asking soo many questions. Theres so much to know wit this stuff it gets confusing.

I was looking at the AUDIOBAHN A1300HCT monoblock ... it says it does 600 Watts rms X 1 @ 2 ohms mono. Is that too much power?

And wats the difference between stereo and mono (it says it after the ohms .. i.e. 2 ohms stereo)

Generally, x1 = mono tongue.gif x2 = stereo. You only need mono as you are going to be giving it a mono input (subs are non-directional sound - no left or right channels) so it doesn't really matter.

There's no such thing as too much power, if the power is clean... I don't mind Audiobahn, their cost prices are quite low so get ready to do some haggling wink.gif

ok .. you're really good wit this stuff so i might as well ask you so i dont waste my money now.

so say I want to change all my stock speakers in like a year .... can i connect this monoblock amp to a multi channel amp so that I can power the speakers as well as the monoblock amp which will obviously be powering my subs ... or will i have to connect my subs and speakers to a seperate multi channel amp ... does this even make sense?

I really a newbie at this stuff

Depends on your headunit... what headunit do you have? IF you haven't got one yet, get a headunit with triple RCA outputs so you can run a separate amp.

The 9833 is a good deck - I have the 9835 myself. That deck has got triple 4V RCA pre-outs.

55Wx4 PMPO wink.gif hehe

With any speakers in pairs, you can wire them up in parallel or series to double or halve the resistance.

Makes a big difference in the way things sound...

All in all, I wouldn't really cheap out buying stuff on ebay...( ESPECIALLY FROM CANADA) nah nah... just jokes about the Canada. Love that maple syrup. But if your looking for quality, buy it brand new... buying subs off ebay is fine but buying an amp... sketchy. I just bought one, and when it came in, it was DOA. WASTED money buying it and installing it. Brand NEW!!! or just don't bid on the ones i am... LOL biggrin.gif

depends on your box. If its a dual box with 1 input then wire the amp bridged mono style. But if you got 2 separate boxes with 2 separate inputs then go 2 chan style. Thats how mine is set up!!! Which is stupid b/c i got no trunk space now.

Those to brands aren't much better, to be honest tongue.gif

Try something different, something not so, err, American.

I'm a great fan of MB Quart and Hertz stuff. Affordable, and for the money, damn to they sh!t on Alpine and Audiobahn.
