I have a supra ct26 turbo that can be easily adapted to be a nice upgrade for anyone who does not have the big bucks to get a full turbo kit! I can even do the modification to it for someone if they want to pay me for doing the work for em. All you need is to take your twin entry housing or get a spare twin entry exhaust housing correctly mounted on this turbo and modify the wastgate actuator and you are good to go.
I had the same mod a while back and the top end did not drop off like the mr2 and celica turbo does. I want 200 for the turbo the way it sits cause it has less than 1k on it since the rebuild! This will last a long time and give you the hp that the little ct26 lacks up top. pm me if interested, DG -------------------- |

In your other thread you stated you have a st205 clip. A 205 clip has a ct20b turbo. This ct26 DG is selling will not fit your turbo.

yes, you would need a second gen manifold and turbo. I'll give you my manifold and turbo for your manifold and turbo.

What is included.... the ct26 "A" turbo from a supra, and a wastegate from a 185 setup. If you can get your hands on a spare twin entry exhaust housing you wont need anything else if you already have a turbo setup. If not... you need mani, dp, and oil/water lines.
Whats needed.... a few tools and some common sense! I can not give you a hp increase but it would be something like buying a ct27 upgrade for $800 and getting about 300whp. I did this mod a while back for my 5sfe....then sold the whole turbo kit to buy a 3sgte clip! I wanted to make it again for the 3sgte but dont have time and have been thinking and i want to eventually get 400hp and this turbo will not make that much. I had a spare twin entry exhaust housing ready to go for this project but cant find it.....i cleaned out my garage a month or so ago and misplaced the dang thing. If i find it, it will be included and all you will need to complete is the common sense! HAHA I planned on doing #3 below with some exhaust housing porting! Off the top of my head: there are a few ways you can go about doing this turbo upgrade/mod. 1. get a 165 manifold, a 165 downpipe, clock the turbo, and mod the wastegate actuator and then bolt on. 2. use a twin entry manifold(mod the single eshaust housing), get a 165 downpipe, clock the turbo, and mod the wastegate actuator and then bolt on. 3. change the exhaust houseing to twin entry, clock the turbo, and mod the wastegate actuator and then bolt on. (uses the twin entry mani) There probably is another way but i can not think of it at the second. Hope this helps, DG -------------------- |

i would not say it has been done lots of times, i have only heard of a few other people doing it(1 or 2 guys).... and the one guy with this mod is in the low 12's if i remember correctly from the mr2 1/4 mile time page. I not trying to put the ct27 down but how can you say they are worlds apart cause as far as i know there has not been anyone with any dyno results to compare them? I am not saying the setup would be better or worse cause I have no proof. The alltrac 165 guys swear that the supra turbo upgrade is the best bang for the buck turbo upgrade! Just having a turbo that pulled to redline would be worth 200 in my opion? oh well... maybe i will just put it on my car to find out what i can make it do until i got the money for the big tdo6 kit and supporting mods. 12 second run here i come!!!!

well, the 165alltrac guys dont really count for what i am talking about cause all they have to do is bolt the whole supra turbo in cause it is a 100% direct replacement. We have to mod the turbo to make it work. i am guessing this upgrade would be really close to having a ct20b. i will probably end up hanging on to it and doing the project myself for either the celica or my mr2 at the beginning of summer. I can always sell it down the road as a ready to go bolt on upgrade after i save up some cash for the big turbo kit!

yeah i ended up getting another one... i needed a good daily driver i could not find a tocoma in my price range so i got another mr2 cause i figured all my parts on the engines are interchangable. i never take the celica out unless it is a perfectly nice day. i drove it 5 times last year... i will have to take it out more often or sell it cause it is not worth paying insurance on the thing and not driving it too much.
anyway back to the subject, if you want the turbo the way it sits let me know. it has just been rebuilt... you could slap it right on the 7mge! if i still have it in a few weeks i am thinking about polishing the compressor housing to a mirror shine and continuing on to try to locate a exhaust housing. i must have tossed the one i had thinking i would never get time to do the mod? anyone got a spare exhaust housing laying around??? dg -------------------- |
