Whats the count on signings? I'd like to keep this at the top to get more to sign it.

#11999

I'm going to get my roomate to be 12000 right now.

I was so excited when speedvision came along but lately it hasn't been worth checking the listings. I'm not that big of a race fan but I can appreciate how much driving a rally car or motorcycle on a twisty course is way more involved than driving the same car as everyone else (except the sponsors logos) around an oval.

OLN and many other stations have gone the same direction. Sad.

Holy cow. By time I got my roomate to sign it jumped to 12018.

The problem rally is having right now is finding offroads to race on. Up here in Maine we lost 60% of our special stages due to sold property and a lack of understanding of the sport. We're trying to get this even as public as possible. The locals love the events but it's the big logging companies who are based out of state who need to sign the permission letters for us to race.
So, my point is that no the sport itself won't die out but we've had to cancel a lot of races in north america so far because of a lack of support. SPREAD THE WORD! I work at NAPA in maine and I tell as many people as are willing to hear. I keep my "Maine Forest Rally" plaque in my front car window so people will ask me about it. I think I'll make a bunch of bumper stickers and give them out at NAPA.

I emailed the author of the petition to get more information such as why SpeedTV dropped the WRC and what it will take to get it back on the air. I'm awaiting his response. As soon as I hear I will post the answers.

^^If roads are a problem, there are some nice ones in WV to take a look at. There is one that is only a 1/4 from my parent's house that would be prefect, and I really mean prefect for a rally. Full gravel, the only problem is it would have to be slower. It's very twisty. Most of our backroads like that are pretty curvy.
