What are the stock calipers like? If they're nothing special, you're wasting your money on good rotors.

They are rotors not calipers. (maybe miss type) But the stock rotors are just flat surface. the cross drilled rotors from brembo are just like these.
] And the outside of that box that they are in say Brembo. So they are just brembo rotors with them drilling the holes, and the holes are very nice and smooth no rough edges what so ever. -------------------- |

I know... but I'm saying if your stock calipers that you will be using them on, are average, then it will only make 10% of the difference compared to getting new calipers with stock rotors.

Show me were you can buy new calipers for the 6gc GT. You can't unless you do big brake, and then it's for a 7th gen. You statement my be correct that new calipers help more than new rotors, but there is no option. We have single piston calipers in front and back. Upgrading brake pads and using rotors like these, you'll have a nice braking system. You won't really pick up any noticable gains on the rotors unless your racing though. -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy

I don't know if you can get bolt-ons, but you might have to go something custom I was about to go custom with my old Corolla. Stock is single-piston 255mm rotors for the fronts, I had a set of 280mm rotors and 4-pot Brembo calipers made - but I sold the car in the end and the rotors are still sitting at home they were zinc coated and cross-drilled, too... *sigh*
Those rotors don't quite look like Brembo rotors though. My friend has the Brembo Gran Turismo rotors, they are assembled in a completely different manner... -------------------- www.tangcla.com - photography

They aren't officially by Brembo.
Brembo DOESN'T make cross drilled or slotted rotors for the 6GC. These were bought as regular OEM brembo replacements, and then drilled by someone. Basically, you are buying a modified brembo product. Such modifications could hinder the braking, or ruin the structural integrity of the rotor. Beware. -------------------- |

Brembo also drilled them. My dads a mechanic at Jensen tire has been for 30 years, he called brembo and asked while i was buying them. My dad wouldn't let me buy somthing that wouldn't be worth paying the money for. They said that its the brembo replacement as you said. But they also cross drill them.

I'm curious to see some real evidence now. -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy
