My friends brother replaced the timing belt (it was the complete kit) The timing mark is zeroed out and 10 degrees advanced. We took the valve cover off to check if the timing marks were alligned and they were. The car starts and is idling normal, but when I rev the car up in neutral it will not go past 5200 rpm and falls down once it hits that range no matter throttle position. When driving the car it accelerates slow and shifts way too soon. By 25mph the car shifts into 3rd gear. Normally at 25mph when I stomp the pedal the car jumps into the 5000rpm range in first gear. Instead it jumps to about 3200rpm then falls off. We figure it must be a sensor or wire, but we are not sure. If you guys have an idea of which sensor it is or what is going on please post. My friend found a broken sensor.

i think that is the cold idel senser.

That senser tells your ecu what temperature the engine is at. It keeps you from damaging your engine when the engine i still cold.

That makes since to me, now that I think about it that is how my car performs when driving it cold. I am having a hard time finding the part number for this sensor. If anyone knows it please post. Do you think as I do that this is my problem? Thanks for the help.
