Ok,
so I decided to "pimp up" my gauges. I bought 3 blue bulbs and 3 blue "5 matrix" leds from autolumination. And this is how it turned out to be. I just wanna show you guys what the difference is. I started to laugh when I saw the result of the bulbs, but when I put the leds in, I was like wow! Note, the lightning and camera modus were the same on both photos. What I got The bulbs The leds -------------------- |

I think they're just a really bad batch of globes. I've seen many globes which actually work (ie. the Polarg globes are very good).

QUOTE(Akimbo @ Feb 2, 2006 - 9:09 AM) I wouldn't mind something brighter for the reverse lights... Done. I got a pair for my JDM tails, those fatass 7440 wedge bulbs. They're bright and white! As with the indicators (which are the same socket type, unless you have JDM tails) I'll see what I can do. btw - the Polargs T10/194 wedge parkers will be $18USD including international postage also suitable for side repeaters! -------------------- www.tangcla.com - photography

here is the Polarg product lineup.
I think you guys need the M7 for USDM tails and indicators... right? The M7 is going to be $25USD inc shipping. The JDM facelift tails will need the M2 globes, which is what I have. Also $25USD a pair. -------------------- www.tangcla.com - photography

QUOTE(Hanyo @ Feb 4, 2006 - 4:49 PM) so pricey for just simple bulbs. how long do the guage cluster lights last? They're made in Japan, and I have to ship them to US... that's the problem they're purewhite (not off-white like most bulbs) and they're damn bright. Beware of imitations from eBay!!! -------------------- www.tangcla.com - photography

Is the dome light #293? Or is it 194? Are the lights in the door also 194? I was thinking about replacing them with LEDs as well

i bought some blue ba9s from autoillumination.com... but i wouldnt recommend them, they were a weird blue green, and not too bright. They make clear door lenses for like the Tacoma or Tundra or something...and you can just use them from there if you can find em. i know one of the members on here did it.

BA9 is hard because the light shines sideways (not from the top of the lens) so LEDs are effectively useless.
More info about the lenses? We don't have Tacomas or Tundras in Australia... -------------------- www.tangcla.com - photography
