Ok, so my 19th b-day is comin up a week tomorrow (sweet) and 19 is the legal drinking age in ontario (double sweet). Any ways..my friends from work usually go out on thursday nights for socail events. Any ways, since its my b-day, my friends wanna take me out to this place called Whiskey A-Go-Go's..its like a famous strip club in Toronto. Any ways, they wanna take me out and they said invite any of my other friends. So i called up my college buddies, and some of the guys i used 2 work with. Every one said they would come except 1 guy. He says that "Strippers are so offencive and that if he wanted to see a naked women, he would rather see them in private then on a stage." This guy is pretty weird non the less though. We got him to wear a snowmobile helmet at the auto parts counter for 4 hours straight. He didnt see any thing wrong with it. Any ways, for every one out there, the main question

I agree, that its their choice, but I myself cant ever imagine going to a strip club. I really dont like the way so many woman, or girls exploit themselves so often these days.

im not offended. Ive been to 3 lady strip clubs and 1 male one. Here in Seattle we will be getting a 4 foot law soon. So no more private dances lol!

I agree Nat. I mean its not something I would do. I've been to a few in Canada, and my mom actually got me and the girls i lived with tickets to a male stripper thing for my 19th. Scary to say the least. Idk. i guess i'm undecied on this subject.

any women the freally makes the choise to use her body to make money is not being exploited .. to me its not diffrenet then someone using there brain at an office to make money ...
no i don't find strippers offensive at all... the majority of men that go to strip clubs go for one of 3 reasons... 1. B-day 2. Getting over a girl that did them wrong / or fight with his girl 3 sex addiction .. why women go .. i have no clue... but i have to say women are far worse and can get away with more then a man can ... -------------------- |

I dont think strippers are offensive nor do i think they should be looked down upon for what they do. People need to work and make money, and there is nothing wrong with using what talents, learned or natural, you may have to do it.
Im sure your friend has an unenlightened view of the exotic dancer profession and/or is uncomfortable with sexuality in general and is using the 'exploitation of women' defense to hide it. -------------------- Its Orville's Celica, i just drive it... |

There is nothing wrong with strippers in my book. My ex girlfriend of 5 years was/is a stripper. Perfectly respectable girl but she did it to make money and that was it. It helped her through college and to buy her first flat. Like she said, the guys are there to look but cant touch. I see her often and she is still the same. And i must admit, that it was always good going to where she worked, and seeing all my friends amazed that she was leaving with me - yee ha !
I do know that in certain places some of the girls are pretty rough, but if you go to a decent place you'll see pretty girls dancing which to me isnt offensive in any way. Just my 2p's woth... Andy.... |

 i have a coulpe of mate that are strippers and they really get a buzz and a lot of money out of doing it........ but hey each to there owen, i wouldn't do it, well not without being asked
