I am going to get the VIS Invader kit. Has anybody put their kit on themselves and was it easy? Would you rather have paid to get it put on?

i wouldnt do it yourself but thats just my opinion. i heard fiberglass is really sensitive and can crack if u mishandle it and besides ur gonna have to go to a body shop and paint it anywayz...just not worth the risk in my opinion but if u do have experience doin stuff like that go for it biggrin.gif

sounds about right, probably about 3K if you do a full color change.

yup, but keep in mind these are 'average' prices. if you know the right people the cost can be reduced drastically. wink.gif

very true pete, and if you can do it yourself, you will pay a mere 200-350 bucks in paint and sanding supplies! wahoo!

I know this post is over a week old, but this is sooooo true.

My friend is painting my car for less than $200 labor(I have some major dents/dings to take care of). The paint/clear/primer will run me about $400(House of Kolors Shimrin Pearl, or some other HoK black, have to decide this weekend). I really wanted Dupont Chromalusion, but that stuff is 1600 a quart, plus the primer/clear has to be Chromalusion which will make it close to $2k.

Anyways, moral of the story. Be nice to those you meet. You never know when they can save you some serious cash. I saved 3 grand(all my dents/dings and a coat of paint at any local shop was gonna be 3000-3800).

it normally depends on how the fitment of the body kit is but on average it should take around 4 days i would think unless the kits really REALLY REALLY poor.
