Theres a wire that is connected to the handbrake (ebrake?) warning light, this is only earthed when the brake is applied - thus only allowing the screen to show moving images when the vehicle is stationary.
This wire just needs to be connected to a permanent earth to obtain moving images at all times. Im sure the owners maunal will say this is against the law or something like that, my Alpine literature did.

Yes its quite illegal I believe in every state. Driveby put it how it is, just gotta un-hook that wire, and re-ground it and poof, I wonder why tho you would get it "installed" when they do some shotee jobs and you couldent even get it the way you wanted?

i mean i havent gotten it intsalled yet but knowin my crazy self, i love to just unplug stuff and see what happens, so i might jus install it myself (just figured i could jus save time and jus have sum one else do it for once.

i think it would just be cheaper to install a separate monitor on the passenger dash and just get the dvd deck

i got the pioneer 5700 and this is what i did...

hooked up the ebrake wire normally at first. then i took a normal switch...hooked one end to ground other end to that parking brake wire...with a diode to isolate away from the parking brake. this way u can show the cop it works the right way case he pulls u over...or u can flip switch and it works and the isolation makes it so the parking brake light doesn't come on. the n2 and d1 are different tho as they have the gyro...but there is a way to bypass it permanently...or u can hook into the reverse cam input

I think the whole DVD player in a car period is a waste. Buy some home entertainment stuff, if you're in the car you should be in the car to drive. If you want to entertain guests in the car with stuff like that then get a bigger car to fit more people.

And seriously, if you're just going to watch it while driving I hope you get pulled over that's so dangerous.
