copper intercooler piping, HELP Quick |

what would be the disadvantages of running copper piping with maybe some kind of heat wrap....asking this because i have access to 2" piping and it would be very cheap.

I like Presure2 said it was hot as heat resistant and would bend. Either way, I've never heard of it being a good idea.

copper? i dont think ive ever seen anyone using copper for ic piping. its mostly used in home plumbing.

I might try some PVC pipe for my exhaust.

go down to the local school bus garage with a saw zaw and chop the exhaust off. that's gott be at least 3" pipe haha

copper um. problaby hard to get big enough pipe thats not 100 lbs and an inch think.
for cheap pipe just get a load of random no-name CAI peaces with diff bends and what not, there very cheap and then cut em up to your needs. if your worried about heat wrape it with some heat resistant tape. -------------------- |

ok i'm looking at jcwhitney.com and i want to run 2" piping ......so do i chose the OD-2"? and when they say a/b do they mean total or one side?

why do you want to use 2" piping? is this for a 5sfte or 3sgte? you must have some kind of fmic / smic in mind already right?

abs wouldnt be a bad idea.
its pvc but its flame retardent. its also black. i dont think it comes in bends but to bend it. get a outdoor deep fryer. those big ones. and het it up to 450+ F. stick the pipe in there and pull it out and bend it. oh also its really cheap. -------------------- Former: 96 GT 5 speed (i/p/e) Fate- rear ended by mack truck
