I just install some new kyb struts and tanabe springs. My stock boot is all torn up.

it protects the shock from dust... but it's not a neccesity.

like bee said, it helps protect the shock shaft from dirt and dust.
without them, the life of the shocks will be reduced.

does anyone know the toyota part number for them?

do you have to mofiy the boot after you have lowering springs for the reduce travel?

YUUP! dang...i cant get it back in now... this morning i kinda got it in but it keeps on popping out. wth im screwed. my strut dropped and hit the cv axle and it popped out. *cries* damn it man i cant get it BACK IN the transmission! damn it im so frustrated. so lil space to work with. its just damn simple u just put it bak in the tranny, but NOOOO!

no need to freek out, you just need a new ring-clip that goes on the end of the axle.

in the pics I dont see your bump stops. I would recomend putting thoes on, else your shocks could bottum out and cause damage to the shock and spring. although it would have to be a good bump to do so.
