Up for sale: 1994 Toyota Celica GT hatchback. Heat/AC work great. Approx 168K on engine. No radio/speakers. Custom stereo/front speakers removed. No factory radio to replace. Clear title. Vehicle has no liens. My 17 year old son ran the car without checking oil x several months. Discovered oil level below the "low" mark. (Castrol synthetic) He filled with oil, then engine began to make a loud knocking sound. Mechanic looked at it, says engine not seized as of yet, probable rod(s) bent, and a host of other bad things that may be wrong, but the engine must be torn down in order to assess the damage. I cannot afford to do this. Therefore, this once super cool car will be sold because my son was irresponsible. He did not take care of it, so it's up for sale. Before the engine had problems, the automatic transmission was beginning to "slip" a bit. I cannot tell what's wrong with it at this point. Replaced the starter Jan '06. Tires are < 1 year old. There are minor "dings" in the body, but nothing serious. Please make offer. Will also consider trade for dependable running vehicle. See profile for basic pics. More pics can be e-mailed: nhgregory@earthlink.net Please feel free to e-mail if any other questions or concerns.

Absolutely! I'm trying to get this car up for sale in the midst of changing jobs, getting my son enrolled in college and everything else life gives us to do in a day's time smile.gif
I do have some pics taken this PM during lunch. I can send them if requested. I will take more pics of interior ASAP.

I do not know what a vehicle in this condition should sell for. I guess I'm in the good graces of you guys to assist me with this matter. I will give you the vin # in case you want to "carfax" it: JT2ST07N8R0009360
Title clean. Free and clear. No liens. Would make excellent project car. Son took out stereo. (It was not a factory unit, anyway). I hope to get some pics of the interior soon. Please feel free to e-mail if needed.

I could use some individual parts from the car. Like both taillights and the rear lip. If you could consider that I'm down

price and zip code?

Zip is 28590
Located Eastern NC (Greenville, NC area, East Carolina University)
Approx. 85 miles East of Raleigh
As for price.....I'm not sure what to ask, I'm hoping to gain some education from the experts in this forum about selling this car, since it basically needs a new engine. I don't believe there is a website available that can give me an idea for pricing. Any suggestions?

once we get a look at the car, it will be much easier to tell.
with 178K on the chassis, it is a higher milage car, so that lowers the value some, and having the blown engine puts a serious damper on things, but to someone who is looking for a fixer-upper, or a project car, like me, its still has some value.

yeah, and from what it sounds like it needs a new transmission too. so its a perfect swap candidate but not much else.

awesome color though smile.gif
