Man, lets get back to the car and stop the negativity. The paint has grown on me some more.
Just my personal opinions. That scoop looks cheesy like a jc-whitney scoop. Your car looks hot without it, or mold it in and paint it. Skeletons, bury them. I like what you did with the taillights. The wing..... Its too fast and furious 1 for todays world. Add a carbon fiber long splitter going all the way across your front end under the grill. It needs one, and it highlights that bad-ass billet grill you got made. Way to represent 6gc on the show circuit! |

I think the car looks ALOT better than the last paint job. IMO, the paint job would have looked even better if the background of the flames were not dark but were the same color of the car. I share some opinions with others that have posted constuctive critism regarding the scoop and spoiler.
In sum, you get much credit for originality and hard work. The car is still WAY too over-the-top for my tastes but if that is your style, I say "You go girl!". This is YOUR car and don't let others opinions get you down. The community is better by encouraging spirited discourse and such banter can't take anything away from your creation! -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |

Just wondering why you didn't paint the tail light covers. They're not really my taste, but they would look better if they were the darker red imo.
The skeletons are kinda creepy, and I'd lose the scoop and wing because they add a certain cheapness to an otherwise expensive work of art. The wind/scoop draw attention away from the much better parts of the car. Flames have never been my thing, but those look good. I also never liked the blitz front end, it makes the celica look buck-toothed. --------------------

wow... just when you think someone can't stoop any lower, they always find a way to amaze me.... unbelieveable... like i said before christina.. definite props to all the work you've put into it... i definitely agree with the others about the tails.. i think theyd look tons better if you painted the lens the same maroon-ish colour as the rest of the car... good work on the mags! and i wanna know if these will be up in canada or not!? i want one!!!! -------------------- lissa | 1997 Celica Convertible

Wow impressive car ! Not my taste at all ! i must add - but if i spent the same £$£ on my car you had and did it all to my own taste and prefernce i would expect half off the public to turn there noses up at it !
P.s please do something about the spoiler and hood , by the looks of the rest of car you know your stuff get the hood blended and i reckon one of Genius doggys small duck(or something) spoiler thingamejoggys. Congrats on the coverage we need more 6G's in there , Chanh55 i expect yours to be next !!! -------------------- 351.5bhp RWD TT

Bottom line here is this...Nat has a mild style and Christina has a wild style. Everyone has differences. I myself would not do this to my car but I give the originality, effort, and outcome massive props. It must be extremely satisfying to look at it and be like, "Hey, I did this. It was all my sweat and tears that went into it."
Be proud of what you got Christina, you did a fantastic job. -------------------- |

alright, I kinda skipped a few post because I'm reading it all at once but I got the jist of the topic.
My comments on the car: very nice, I love the true flame paint. That kind of job only comes with time and skill. Your car is a piece of art. Like a few others on here I'm not a fan of the hood scoop but hey, if you like it, then roll with it. You just have different taste on somethings, no crime commited. I love your show set up (skeletons and whatnot). Last but not least, CONGRATS on the magazine coverage! Very awesome to see that happen to a celica! Props to you girl. -------------------- CLOSED on 25 acres! -shop coming soon.... |
