I saw this last weekend, I'm surprised it hasn't shown up here yet. The top gear guys take a 80's Toyota Hilux (a Tundra I think) and do a little durability testing. Its worth the 19 minutes, so watch it all the way through.

They did 2 shows with that truck.

the building implosion was the 2nd episode. They gave up after the fire and then a few months later that other host guy decided to put it on the building to be imploded. They skipped a couple minutes of intro to put that video together. In the 2nd episode it's him saying "remember when we did all this to the Toyota Hilux? Well we came up with a way of putting it to the test" blah blah.

And yeah, that's pretty cool. Definitely not BS, Toyota trucks are rockin. My friend had an 89 Tacoma that just wouldn't die. Ran the piss out of it, into like an 8 foot snow bank, off roaded with no oil, would kick dents into it, get on the highway and drop the clutch into a low gear, that thing never stopped running. I still see a guy driving it every now and then with the foot sized dent in the fender lol.

we have a 1980 toyota pickup on our farm and it got hit by a bus and sat for almost 20 years and all i had to do was put in a battery and put some gas in it and it ran. the gaskets are crap but im gonna rebuild it and make a paintball tank out of it unless of course someone wants a 20r motor.
