Heres a legit question. As i research my 5sfte turbo install, i wanted to know what the differences are between the t3/t4 and why people on this site don't use them compared to lets say the ct26. I read about the adapter plate, and curious about this turbo. Would I guess the price? Availability? Thanks guys
I was up last night reading about shin and urbandork install. Good reading material! |

There are two basic reasons:
(1) because most t3/t4's flow more air than you can safely run on a 5sfte without a standalone and forged internals; and (2) with the ct-26 you can use the 3sgte exhaust manifold and cat or downpipe. If you use a T3/T4, you will need a manifold adapter or custom exhaust manifold and downpipe. Also, most T3/T4's utilize external wastegates so that is an added expense. -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |
