Yeah so Im lookin for rims... and I was just wondering...

I dont wana lower the car, and I dont want the car to be any lower than it aready is... (I scrape too much frown.gif)

So Im wondering... I think stock rims are like 15" right and with tire like another 2"... so that basically is 17"s right there...

Im wanting to get 17" rims. and with low profile tires thats like another inch... will that be any problem for me? Will it raise up the car a bit, lower, stay the same? Im not exactly sure...

Kinda a weird question, but thanks for your help biggrin.gif If you dont get what Im askin I'll be glad to explain myself wink.gif

if you go with 17, use tire size (215-45-17).
u sont want rubber bands for tires lol
and this way your car will get slightly taller.

i agree. get 17s with 215-45-17 tires.

problem is, that when you go to 17s, it will raise your car up higher. you might not like the way it looks and might end up lowering it later on.

yea 215-45-17's will raise about .4". another optioin if youre looking to raise your car a bit is 225-50-16, that will raise about .5".

i went with 16's for a few reasons: ride quality, brake rotors fill the wheel better, little bit cheaper, more rim protection (dont want to hit a pothole with a low-pro tire), and i like the look better with more rubber.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

well the way you figured it it's 15" rim, and about 2" of tire on both ends of that 15" diameter so it's technically like a 19-20". A 17" with about 1" thick low profile tires will be pretty much the same.

am i "that one guy"? frown.gif laugh.gif the name is nate by the way

heres a thread i posted with info and pics of 16" tires. 16" tire options if youre looking to not change overall diameter too much, 205-50's (thats what i have) or 225-45's (if you have at least a 7" wide wheel because the measuring rim width for it is 7.5") are going to be your best bet. i agree with lagos, 7g gts wheels look great on the 6, and you can get them at a good price.

go with 18s, drop your car a bit. Your car looks bad-ass with that kit. You and your dad did a good job on it!
