first question : does the bumper absolutely have to come off or does it make things easier?

you know what i was just hit by another car the other night...on the driverside fender...i managed to get it off without removingthe bumper....it made it was bit difficult but i got it off ..you will have to play with the bumper a bit though

you do have to remove the front bumper if you are not trying to mess up the frender because there are two bolts located under the low beam headlights that are pretty hard to get to.

you dont need to take off the bumper, but its not that hard to take off the bumper. The hardest part if you dont take off the bumper, will be getting in there where it connects to the fender. Those lugs are deep and at a weird angle...and then the other two that connect the fender to the actual frame. *EDIT* saw that 1994toyotaracer said the same thing lol.

You need do's and don'ts:

Do:
-take your time.
-take the front bumper off (believe me, it's alot eaiser this way)


Don't:
-force anything
-get mad mad and go ballistic on it. The car never did anything bad to you.
