I've been looking are the 6th gen years and was wondering what was the main difference?

I see different spoilers, front bumpers, steering...is there anything else???

And what is seen as the "best year"? the only thing I know is that the GT4 spoiler post only works with the first wave of stock spoilers...

Steering Wheels: 94-97(stardard) 98-99(sportier looking)

94-95: Front bumper: same grill(5 bars), 2 post spoiler
96-99: Front bumper: 3 bars in grill with 2 thick ones, 3 post spoiler

i forget what models have updated speakers it might be 96+

wasn't there a difference in engines too? like stronger crank in a certain year and up or something like that? (i remember reading something like that about two years ago here.)

the 98-99 5sfes have a metal head gasket, and posibly other unknown revisions to the internals of the motor.

mine came with the stock foglights, side skirts and a much improved steering wheel design. so i would vote for 98-99 as being the best.

i vote 98 - 99. for the time being, its true that the older ones were faster, but over all quality is probably better for the later models. also..i wish i had that steering wheel biggrin.gif

if this steering wheel is so sought after then wouldnt it be a very easy install on a 94-97 celica. I mean they are both 6th gen celicas so i dont imagine u would need any kind of adapter like an aftermarket one and it should be an easy fit. But please correct me if im wrong.

They're expensive. You can find the same type in MR2s but you looking at a good 300 for the air bag and wheel.

I went with a 93 MR2 non-air bag wheel is decently sporty looking & leather wrapped. I love it but some might not liek the idea of taking out the airbag.

I've got the premium sound in my '94, and I don't think it gets any better than that from the factory. Six up front and two in the back.
