Those of you who have been following along playing the home game know that i just finished my 5s swap. I have just about wrapped everything up but i have two problems.

1. check engine light- had it diagnosed, it looks like my cam positioning sensor is malfunctioning, which wouldnt be a problem, i just dont know think that my car (being a cali emissions) has one! so why is my ecu looking for a sensor that isnt there? help!

2. Oil light- after the oil is warm and i have been driving the car, when i put in the clutch and the car idles normally, the oil pressure light flickers. but if i rev it up, even to just like 1000 rpms, it goes off. it does this until the car has been off for a while and the oil has cooled down. I know of at least one other guy on this site who is having this problem.

if you guys could maybe give me some input that would be awesome. thanks guys

The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far as is needed?

the you sure its CAM sensor and not CRANK sensor? that would be the one you had to swap over from your engine.

yeah manny i checked the oil, its good, and no its def the cam positioning sensor (i took it ot my buddy at the dealership and he used his scan tool), it said that its supposed to be on the left hand side of the engine near the head, but i cant seem to locate it. Now im starting to think.... confused.gif i dont even think my car, being a cali, even has a cam sensor... i dont think it does. so this seems to be making less and less sense. Who is the electric, sensor expert on here?
