If it is the TWM specifically for the 6th Gen, installation will be a snap. Make sure you have an extension bar for the socket wrench of at least 6 inches to handle the bolts that mount the shifter assembly to the chassis.

That looks just like my 7th gen shifter, except it has a little bend. My shifter is strate. I'm going to take mine out and heat it up and bend it so it's a little farther away from the e-brake handle.

QUOTE(cg97 @ Feb 26, 2006 - 12:13 AM) you guys reccomend a 7th gen SS? and did you have to buy a new boot? It's a heck of a lot cheaper. It took about 2 weeks for me to get used to it. I didn't like it at all at first. There are a lot of guys that like it better than I did. You don't have to buy a new boot or nob or anything. I think I have a little bit of transmission problems I'm working on, so my dislike of it is mostly likely that. If I wanted a short shifter, I would go with the 7th gen again. My only question is going short shifter or keeping stock. That's the only thing to really think about. -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy

Ya you can get the TWM one like mine at www.twmperformance.com they are pretty pricey but again i think its worth it. But make sure you understand what your getting lol. Its short if you want a short shifter, and short throw there both that lol. I like it a lot tho.
