3sgte..what should i do? |

so i want to do a 3sgte swap for my celica, but i just cant figure out what the right thing to do is. Should i get a whole front clip? or should i do what my original plans were and get either the celica or mr2 3sgte w/tranny, ECU, Intercooler, Complete Wiring(Un-Cut), turbo etc... please give me some input..im having alot of trouble deciding..im open for any suggestions

Always go with a clip over the engine + parts. Theres so many other little parts here and there that you will come up, its always best to have that clip ready. You can always sell the extra unused parts.

where would be the best place to find a clip? bc i found the engine and tranny w/parts for about $2000..which i was pretty set on until i have been hearing otherwise

First, you should post in the right section
Second If this is you first swap buy a clip, it will come with every part you need. Plus by the time you have dismantled the clip you'll have an very good idea where everything goes on your car. For the most part, motor sets are missing parts. Also you never know how they run or if they even run at all. Good luck man DEF -------------------- I will return one day. |

Well theres a few places... you can find quite a few just browsing thru the different posts...um im looking at a place http://www.superiortradinginternational.com, and then jarcoinc, and venus auto...some places are more expensive then others. All depends on what kinda 3sgte you want, etc.

Get the whole clip
Ya want a 94 2ndGen 3SGTE clip For Cheap under $1700 go to www.sunsauto.com call them talk to and or Ask for Jose tell him MR2 Kenny refered you and He'll set ya up good. When i was in Houston Last year they Had 3 Celica Clips and they are still there ready to be shipped off. All you need is a 5th gen Celica clip that has everything. These clips have everything needed. The Wharehouse is out of Houston TX and these are Grood guys to deal with. Last year i found a Caldina clip there and got a good deal on it for a friend. for those of you who don't know the motor is a 3SGTE year1999 280bhp. Good luck. Wow, its a shame we have two engine import dealers in texas, but no shops to do the swap....that place looks decent toyracr, i may give them a call... wouldnt mind driving down there and picking it up.

Um No 95's JDM are 3rd gen not 94. and def not in a 5th gen Celica clip.
