Hello I have come to the stubborn decision that I want a simple white knob for my 5speed shifter handle but the thread on the shaft does not come in *any* white shifter handle I can find!!!
-The thread is 12mm by 1.25 pitch.

-Now does the short shifter have a different thread pattern?

-Or I could cut the end off my shifter and weld on new threads off of a bolt end, as I do have a welder. Or is this a bad idea?

-All the hurst handles I like have American threads or a 12mm by 1.75 pitch which won't work either....

-Any ideas? I don't want a press on knob...... Only the screw on type???

short throws, 6th or 7th gens have the same threading as oem. Dont use a hurts shifter cuz USDM only companies on a import car is ghey. If you want a nice knob, Razo's usually have a threaded in section thats just plastic. U pop it on and cut the threads ur self, other than that, TRD, OEM, or Trust knob.
