i will be installing a new CD and speakers soon and i want to paint the dash also. i was just looking at paint info on the web. looking for a new look. saw a site for Krylon paint products...pretty interesting. even have metallic finishes. a little wet sand, some tack cloth, constant motion with the rattlecan and voila! new dash (in theory laugh.gif !!)

doesnt look very cozy...i think you could do alot with fiberglass though, and definately make a very nice interior.

My first post... i own a custom audio company in the Uk and we are doing a gen 6 celica as a project car for ourselves...
Just on dash at minute.. we are keeping the original dash shape and finish and just working within the panels... fabricated Dakota Digital gauges into original bezel, 8" touchscreen and relocated all heater/air con controls into centre arm rest...

If i knew how to post up pics i'd show you a bit of the dash

paul what you can do is take the link of the image (where its hosted)
you have to use an external host here (ie photobucket, imageshack)
then you go

[img ] link[ /img] to make it appear

will get some more shots hopefully tomorrow of the centre piece....

really didn't want to change the whole dash as the vehicle is used to demo the products and services we offer at an acceptable level of cost
