is a chip the same as an AFC? Dont they both do the same thing?

The AFC is a piggy back computer, so it adjusts the signal going into your ECU. Other piggy back computers adjust the signal going out of your ECU. Also the AFC only adjusts your air/fuel ratio, and this Jet chip claims to do a whole lot more.

They have a "dyno sheet" for the Camry 2.2L...same engine. Not sure if it's a true "dyno sheet" though. Looks like a graph made in Microsoft Excel.

I spoke to jetchips and they said that you have to send it in for reprogramming and it costs 399.00

I checked out powerchips a couple of weeks back (UK) and their site lists the camry
and avensis but "not the celica"?, but I emailed them asking for confirmation on this as I saw them advertise the MR2 and GT4 in Japanese Performance magazine (no chip available on the GT).They still haven't returned my email

I made a topic before about Powerchip. Powerchip
All the figures are in the first post. It sounds pretty good to me because you dont have to send your ECU to them, They send out the chip to you and you can install it yourself. I had a quick read through the site and they are able to reprograme the mapping throughout the whole throttle position and not just WOT. (I dont know about you guys, but I dont spend most of my driving time flooring it so that apeals to me). Unlike the SAFC that I have, most of the tweeking will be during WOT and I heard that its not worth the time to tune it during closed loop. Jontechie, they make one for the GT4 by memory.
