 My taillight costed they guy $650 to fix, so he couldn't pay it and it went straight to his insurance company. I got $650. Did she take down your insurance info, DL #, address, any witness? If she didn't get your DL # or your Insurance info.  screw her! Just ignore her, if she did......make your insurance pay it.

I think this topic is funny. You hit someone, man. You screwed up, and now you must pay. If she asked for $1000 and didn't get the insurance company involved, you should be happy. Someone hit my car about a month after I painted it last summer. They took off, but I only got $150 to fix it. It would diffinately cost more if I paid someone else, but I'll just do it myself and probably break even. Oh, I'll probably do better, but it's still going to take time. If someone hit yourcar, you have the right to take it were ever you want to fix it. What if someone hit you and said, "I'm not paying that price, just take it to Maco." That would make me mad. My advice, suck it up, pay whatever she asks, and don't hit anyone anymore.
