I like it.. but I will be honest.
What if someone REALLY wanted a picture? With it being in the corner like that.. it could easily bc cropped out. What about something 75/80% transparent and near the center? EDIT: Okay 75% is tooooo light. 70% would be perfect. Example using tufy's car. something along those lines..? This post has been edited by Jen: Mar 6, 2006 - 5:02 PM -------------------- |

I could simply update my orphaned image script to process all the images. QUOTE(Jen @ Mar 6, 2006 - 1:55 PM) I like it.. but I will be honest. I'm definitely not going to put the logo in the center of the image, even at a lighter transparency. It's very distracting. Though the idea for transparency is good. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

I know I don't contribute much on this board, but I agree with Jen. If it isn't on the car then it is pointless. If I wanted to use an image on this board and the logo was at the bottom somewhere. If I could, I would just crop it. Just my 2 cents.
Like the car above: http://img381.imageshack.us/my.php?image=car6ms.jpg as you can see, I easily cropped it This post has been edited by JonCars17: Mar 6, 2006 - 9:02 PM |

Like the car above: http://img381.imageshack.us/my.php?image=car6ms.jpg I know that it could be cropped, but at some point, there's a trade-off between being hard to steal and still being attractive. I, for one, absolutely hate it when I can't enjoy a photograph because there's big stamps/logos all over it covering the car or whatever. I'm curious as to what everyone else thinks though. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

I like it like that coom. I mean ya people can crop it. But honeslty when someone crops it, there gonna have to sit there and take there time just to lie to someone and say its their car. I wish there was a way we could make our pics from this site to stay on this site and make it so nobody and copy and paste them to another area. just on this site. But i don't think that can be done. This will do fine i think.

I completely understand. I hate seeing the stamps aswell, but I don't see a trade off between stealing and still being attractive. Unless you make the text small enough it isn't hardly even noticed or do what celiracer just meantioned as far as making the image more difficult to save from the site.

Well, there are some preventative measures to discourage image theft, but in the end they tend to make real, honest visitors angry(because they can't save them to their computer for use later or whatever) and do little to prevent people from stealing images for their own websites(because they often know tricks to get the images anyway.)

I'd say go ahead and add the text for the simple fact that it could bring more ppl to the forum. I personally wouldn't have known about the site if someone wouldn't have sent me a message thru ebay after I bought my body kit. Just don't expect it to stop the steal thou.
BTW I like both This post has been edited by JonCars17: Mar 6, 2006 - 9:47 PM |

I like the second one as well... and if you're gonna use the first one I think the opacity should be reduced a little bit.
