Well, I've noticed there is alot of frustrations going on when it comes to significant others here at 6gc. Like the rest, im going through some hard times and i was just wonder what the rest of you guys and gals do when it comes to making decisions. Do you use you head, or do you act on your heart. Me personally, I use to act on my feelings, wear my heart on my sleve, but i've learned i can't really do that, so im trying to use my head alot more.
p.s this was supose to be a poll, but i guess this works anyways..im computer dumb, and can't make the poll thingy work This post has been edited by OrbitalGT95: Feb 24, 2006 - 11:50 AM -------------------- Now SR powered |

I try to think with my head, but my heart tends to get in the way most of the time. So it never really works. I think after having your heart broken and handed back to you in pieces you start to just shut down and not think with anything, and "keep your guard up" so to say.
oh and you forgot to put in option 3... what most men really think with This post has been edited by ILuvMyCelica95: Feb 24, 2006 - 10:21 AM -------------------- Buy my Celica $2,500 - http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=76562&st=0

See wat your head says, then if your heart disagrees just do what the hands and feet says. I usually just do what the hands and feet says, since they drag the body around.

head, my heart does not work like that anymore. I've tried to get girls to like me, but I guess I'm too fat and ungly for em, I get nothing but the cold sholder no matter what I say or how I ack, makes that whole topic easy for me
I think a relationship should start with the heart and once it gets going should move to the head. then after a long time your heart can get back into it. I was always maid fun of in school by lots of people girls and guys for no real reason, people would make up lies about me and look for any little thing to make my day hell, went though 6 years of it everyday, my guard is fully built and will probably never come down :'( -------------------- |

Head or heart? Nonsense.
I made my decisions based on the reality that all women are whores. You know the latest statistics say that 50% of people cheat in relationships. You know what that means? If you're being faithful, then your significant other will or has already cheated on you. This post has been edited by creamed_corn: Feb 26, 2006 - 1:45 AM |

I still use both. A year ago I was cheated on by a girl I dated for 3 1/2 years. I'm in a new relationship now thats 3 months old. She's sort of different than the girls I typically would date. She has a **** load of friends and they are all people I don't know anything about. She's had a past with some things that I really don't care for. I have a suspicion everytime something doesn't seem right. I have no real reason to not trust her, but the simple fact that once upon a time I had a girlfriend who was "my other half" betray me so hard that I keepy my guard up almost constantly. I gotta protect my own interest in the relationship too. I don't want to hurt like I did just one year ago. I think the way things are going right now, this girl could be a girl I spend a long long time with...but with time, I will be able to trust her fully.
I totally agree with the theory that once trust is lost, it is very hard to regain. losing trust changes the perspective so much. It is way too easy to get crapped on by even the most trustworthy people out there. I don't like trust anymore. Trust is an easy way to get caught off gaurd and hurt more than you ever had to if you had your gaurd up. Maybe thats why your first real love is one you remember so much, because everything was so innocent then. Love is so hard... -------------------- |
