i kind of doubt its your synchros. i would understand if one of them went, but for all 3 gears to have harsh engagement, there must be soemthing else going on. im willing to bet that you have a clutch related issue.

because clutches can cause shifting issues too. most people will wear out a syncho or two, but you really would have to beat the crap out of the tranny and have very high milage to toast 3 of them.

you can also try doing a clutch pedal adjustment, and changing to pensoil synchromesh tranny oil. it might help you.

i used the valvoline synchomesh gear oil recommended 75w-90, my dad suggested messing with the clutch fluid, that there might not be any fluid but thanks with the info.

i was having a hard time putting the car into gear a couple weeks ago and recently i had to force it in...when driving it's like i'm not pressing the clutch at all and had to force it into every gear...i got the clutch changed and my mechanic told me that my clutch had broke into pieces(i don't know how) and that was the reason why...got my act street clutch in and it's smooth now(next thing now is to break in the clutch)...so you might have a similar problem too....

i must have misread, i thought he was ONLY having problems with 1-2 which led me to think it was a synchro.
