Let's say I'll buy a Celica STi (1.8) and get a Camry 3.0 V6 engine for cheap.. Would it fit (I think it would if you know how to do it)? And even more important; would it be worth it? Ofcourse it'll sound friggin' fantastic, but I don't know what the engine weighs.. I do know it has 190hp and a decent amount of torque.. Sounds like an Integra killer to me. What would you guys do?

just remember that its an undocumented swap. if this is your first time working on a car, i wouldnt recomend it because its not a basic bolt on affair like some of our other motor options. cost may seem cheaper at first, but i think youll spend just as much as any swaper

I don't want turbo (yet!). Turbo-ing a V6 engine would be my nr. 1 choice though. |

Not exactly an undocumented swap -- knowing Adrian, he's got lots of documents. As for the weight issue, being an aluminum block, it weighs about the same as the 3SGTE and has slightly better power with a smoother power band.
Believe Adrian had a thread on it at celicatech.com, if not, that's where he hangs out and you can ask him about it. |

i think any of those V6 swaps is a GREAT idea...just need more people willing to do the work to get it done.
mr2oc has alot of good info on them also. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
