Which do you think is better for our celicas and which do you preffer. Which one would you get higher gains out of on either the 5s-fe or the 3s-ge?

im not a fan of superchargers at all.....for a super charger, you have to use hp, to make horsepower....so if you are gaining 50 hp, you have to use 15 to make it...so in reality your only gaining 35....with a turbo, you gain exactly what you are making.

I think the 5sfe would be best with a supercharger. It's the fe head, so it can't turn the right rpm to make the best power with a turbo. There are some nice turbo set ups on 5sfe's though, and no superchargers. For a 3sge, I think a NA is the way to go. Otherwise you should just get a 3sgte. There are some nice M3's out there with sc kits, as well as some Honda's. So, it just depends on what you want to do with the car.

SC'ers are nice (instant power) but they have their limits; thats why I'll be pulling the supercharger off my gze and slappin on a turbo ( I gave up on the idea of twincharging). A nice turbo and my possibillities are quite good

I actually prefer a SC for little more punch in your DD. Turbos will make more power, its more tuneable since you can more easily decrease or increase the the amount of boost you want. But turbos run much hotter than a roots type and will have a lag. Superchargers produce their power for acceleration, better response and are much more predictable. They also cause less stress on the engine since it is not constricting the exhaust flow. But they are more expensive and wont produce as much power.
