aright i live in jersey...and there are ALOT of civics here. most of 'em absolute rice bought for cheap, "hooked up" even cheaper. the thing that bothers me is majority of the owners seem to think their cars are damn fast and they rev at anything with a motor be it a geo or an sti. dont get me wrong...some of these civics are done up right and look pretty nice with performance to match...but these are rare atleast at my area. ok anyway earlier today after i dropped my mother off work this civic just kept revving at me. i guess he wanted a piece but i dont like to street race unless its with a friend at a very controlled situation so i resisted. guy follows me/tailgates me like crazy when im clearly letting him pass. aright so we get on the parkway and him and his friend on the passengers seat gets beside me and starts laughing and pointing. im like "wtf". at this point i had enough and waved goodbye to him then just floor it and left him far far FAR behind. after awhile i let off on the gas to get back on normal speed and the guy passes still flooring it...lol i guess this is what u call a ricer fly-by? wtf is up with civic owners? if anyone in the tri-state area have been to 440 or ave. p then they'll know how many cheap "hooked up" civics there are in NJ that are supposedly "fast". i cant even enter a dunkin donuts in jersey city without a civic owner demanding a race with me ofcourse i always say no cuz i know im better than that.
and theres a guy i know who owns an rsx-s who seems to be claiming he has beaten me in a race saying my car is slow and all that. this guy tells everyone his car is a "turbo-killer" with just an exhaust and intake. ofcourse i dont care about all his talk but if he stepped up to me for a race then its ON lol ok my venting is done bboy -------------------- ..(formerly daily driven) 3S-GTE powered celica currently set @ 12psi.. |

Some people are just like that. Even though I love those little Civics, I've got to say there is a lot of those types of people driving them. I guess they think they look cool. I don't like streetracing either, unless it's controlled. I hate when people try to race me in 5'oclock traffic. I catch it from almost all types of cars though. I've had VW, Hondas, Toyota Celicas (Just toda), any American cars, the list is endless. I think Civic owners get a little more singalled out because there's just so many of them. Those cars are really cheap, reliable, and everywere. Celica's would be the same if they as plentifull and cheap.
BTW, I beat that Celica today. It was a 7th gen GT. I can't be too proud of the win though. It was only 1st, 2nd, and part into 3rd. The shifting won, not the car. Stupid slow Celica. -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy

You dont need to race a civic, just mildly apply throttle.

The guy in the civic was probably laughing because he found a car slower than his.

turbo killer?
haha type s's are quick thats about it. intake and exhaust make them a little faster here is what you should do. disable your fuel cut(if you already havent) run more boost, and make sure everything is tight on your car, hell, maybe you could even throw in a couple gallons of race gas. then go and tell him to put his money where his mouth is. make sure you do this in front of a bunch of people. if he accepts, you will destroy him if he declines, call him a pu$$y and say that he knows his car is slow and that your car would rape his. its win win. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition

lol yah i just dont wunna seem like the one picking a fight when he's being the nutsack. i've beaten an rsx-s with intake, exhaust, header, vtec controller and other stuff i dont know about on 10lbs of boost (more like 11lbs since it was creeping up during the cold night) already so his rsx-s doesnt scare me with just an intake and exhaust. i've also beaten a s2000 with the usual bolt on...and the owner is a friend of his so if he has heard that news i dont think he'll be man enough to step up. he's just a cocky kid who thinks he owns turbo cars because his mommy is "sponsoring" his ride...lol

Some are happy with their illusions of there fast ST’s, and I would leave it that way. But since some feel the need to attack others and call them dumb, I thought I would bring that up. i had some tard like that yesterday. I took my car 2 the shop to get my new motor put in and some guy in a super ugly riced out integra started fallowing me. I was going along this windy/hilly road going around all the majours that were gettin congested from traffic due to rush hour. Any ways, this road is in the middel of suburbia, you can get up to maybe 80 at some points but nothin much faster, 2 lanes only, barely any straights and all up and down. Any ways, my motor is pooched..like im leakin and burnin oil, car hasnt been driven for almost a month now. Any ways, im goin along, maybe 5km over the limit but still within reason..and this guy flys up behind me. He keeps goin on n off the gas, really jerky, so it looks like hez gonna try n ram me. So he keeps honking his horn and flashin his lights at me, and trys to come up beside me. So we get to the first set of lights on this road that has a straight lane and a turn only lane. So he pulls up beside me in the turn lane since i was goin straight and rolls down his passanger side window. So the guy in the back passanger seat, sticks his head out of the crack between the B-Pillar and the back of the front seat. He yells out to me "TOYOTA'S SUCK!!! BIATCH!!" then tells his friend to rev his engine. So i barely heard this cuz my music was on pretty loud and also cuz i only had my window down about 5 inches..still cold out. Any ways, so i hear the guy with his cheap welded on muffler start reving and starts to turn his car so its gonna cut me off when the light changes. So i figured...you know what? im sick of ppl thinkin that supra's are the only good toy's out there. So the light changes, i pull my car a bit to the right, and boot it. The guy boots it after me, and as soon as we get to the first little hill, i down shift into 3rd to climb up while still gettin some torque and keep me speed up, and this guy down shifts, misses his shift and stalls, half way up the hill. lol. He caught up to me at the next set of lights, tryed to blast past me again, i let him, starts doin roughly 15 or 20KM over the limit, and gets busted by a cop 3 min up the road..lol. There are alot of honda/acura drivers that are really stupid out there. Good thing my gf is half n half (98 civic DX, and 03 matrix XR)..lol.
EDIT: Best part was i spanked him with a near blown motor This post has been edited by Valo666: Mar 8, 2006 - 9:46 PM |

^^You have more guts than me. I would be afraid of blowing the motor and looking really bad if I was you. Those Integra's are nothing to laugh at, even the 4 door ones. I'm pretty sure I can run with them with my Celica. Oh, btw, what's wrong with a welded on muffler? How else am I supposed to get it on there? Duct tape? Good luck with the new motor.

Everytime I hear racing stories where a guy "misses a shift" I can't help but laugh my ass off. Seriously, who misses a f--ing shift? I've never missed a shift in the history of owning my car. Are some people really that clueless on how to drive?

It was when I had my old transmision, it was a little rougher than what I've got. I was trying to get infront of this Ford Ranger because I accidentally got in the wrong lane. he punched it, and I had the lead, then I missed second. I seen him laughing. It was embarrassing. -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy

hahaha, this thread is a good venting place...hehe...
Anyway, the other day, i was driving, and a really old Acura and civic pull up to me...they have gals in the passenger seat...anyway, make a long story short, we were on a small crowded road, and they almost go into a huge accident trying to pass me (i was just driving behind a mini-van going the speed limit)...revving their engines and all...people these days There cars were so rice that the wheels were wobbling, and i thought they might even come off! btw, the civic had those paste on chrome stripes...they were wrinkled and coming off ...these idiots crack me up. Dude, anyone here could have owned them driving with their eyes shut--these guys are so rice it is not even funny! ~snap This post has been edited by snapshotgt: Mar 8, 2006 - 10:18 PM -------------------- Past: V6 Swapped 6G Celica, E46 BMW M3, Jeep Wrangler TJ

I just hate the kids who go out, spend $50 on a muffler, weld it on, and claim it adds like 20HP *thumbs up*. Yea Streetz, ive had kinda the same experience. My buddy did a RB26 swap into his S13, took me out for the first ride in it. Drivin along, some kid in a 91 Civic (square back), comes by, pulls up beside us, honks to try n race. His girl sittin shotgun tryin 2 look cool in the crapbox, guy guns it, we give him easily 15 car lenghts, then my buddy punches it, turbo kicks in and fun time for boost. We pull up beside him, my buddy waves 2 his girl, blows her a kiss and boots it again. Its funny though cuz his 240 is such a sleeper, its got Falken Rims on it, 300ZX breaks, IC up front (thats really hard to see) and a 4" tip comin out the back...hehe...4" exhaust from front to back...aka the stove pipe. Sleepers are the best to kick ricer a$$. The guy with the RB26 in the S13 has a friend who swaps SR20 Redtops out of S15's into Datsun 510s..lol. Runs 1/4 mile in 11.2 and looks like a stock 510. EDIT: Any one seen the video of the riced out Cav and Civic drag racing and the stang blows by them on the other side of the road and completely spanks them??
