And came up with nothing. Now that we're keeping the Celica, we're putting my wife's big Christmas Present (Kenwood DDX 8017) into the Celica. It's a double din head unit, I'm not worried about wiring at all. Just the actual physical mounting.
Anyone done a double din?? How straight forward was it?? Did you use the supplied frame with the new one, or mount it another way? -------------------- |

It seems like installation would be pretty easy and straight forward... when i had my deck installed it had its own bracket, so if yours came with a mounting bracket, seems like you could just take out the bracket for the oem radio, and then the other for the pocket below the radio. there should be all kinda holes to screw the screws into.

super easy. toyotas use a factory iso mount braket. your double din will screw right up to that, or at least mine did.you should have no trouble. i have a pic of mine in my profile.

i got the model just below yours (i think) ddx7017. there was 2 mounting brackets. one of them is for imports i believe. part of it kind of goes back, with a z type bend. i also had to dremel a little bit of the dash off to get it to fit right (only like 1/4")
