i want to get a aftermarket speedometer gauge. some of you are asking why. i just bought a celica and gauge is acting up and i just want to go with a aftermarket if they make it. any help would be great whether it is a website or someone selling it thanks.

Hmmm, what kinda problems are you having? Cuz they sell covers that go over your speedometer, but im not sure what problems there are to go wrong. Other then maybe needle related? Either way though, Check the parts database, and then you can see some covers on ebay.

the neddle jumps and i heard a weird noise and it sounds like a mouse running on a wheel when the needle is bouncing.
thanks fastgt but i already got another one i just want to try and go the aftermarket way if i can. |

Yea i have an extra cluster if you want also. Its Doggy's ORIGINAL Custom cluster. Its red.

I can try 2 take better pix 4 u if need. I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. It happened to me not to long ago in my mom's 4runner. Its a simple fix I BELIEVE. My dad took cake of it. I think it was the?? speedometer cable/wire? Ill ask him in the morning and see what it was. Ill PM you if no1 has given you an answer by then. You can buy one they range from $40-100, but they dont look as good as stock speedo.

My speedometer needle sometimes jumps or does not go up at all. Then it started happening to my rpm. I kept tapping the plastic cover then it both goes up. I kept doing that for about a week or so and now it keeps working. I bought this cluster from ebay.
