 Ethanol / E85, Anyone live in an area that sells E85 |

In the States, some of you can get a blend of fuel that is 85% ethanol (ethyl alcohol) 15% gasoline. You may not know this but the octane rating on this stuff is between 100 and 105!!! Crazy as it may sound, the government is subsidizing the stuff too!!! Canada is not selling it yet though!
 A normal car can not run on this mixture without some modifications, but they can be made (it is problems with plastics and rubbers in the fuel system), and I have done the mods to a 97 chev malibu, what a waste, but it is not that complicated. Just curious if any of you have ever thought about convering to this for a crazy boost or crazy compression engine? |
