I was wondering what kind of mpg you guys are getting after converting your 6g celica to a 3sgte 2wd. I know it depends on driving habbits, but Im curious if there was a significant drop even if you can manage to keep your foot out of the gas.

umm, i never checked. its definetly less then it used to be with the 5sfe, but its not horrible. you also have to run 91-94 octain gas, so that part will cost you the most.

Surely your gonna do the swap for more power? if gas mileage is an issue then shouldnt you be thinking of better ways to spend your money?
FWIW my GT4 gets 18-20 to the Imperial gallon (about 25% bigger than a US Gallon) at £5 a gallon ($8.73 at todays exchange rate) I guess that puts me in the horrible category laugh.gif

i've never actually bothered to figure the exact mpg but during normal driving (barely boosting) i actually get pretty damn good mpg. i usually get gas at half tank every 3-4 days. when i start to boost (alot during the meets lol) non-stop...i can burn half a tank in 1 night kindasad.gif

19.9 mpg with BOV vented to atmosphere. It was mixed driving including 120 miles (about 1/3 tank) on the highway and lots of full boost runs.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.
