i have a serious issue guys. its my tranny. i was installing a new set of indiglo gauges from a friend here. at first everything was fine. just didnt have it wired up to a pwr source. when i got to a friends house to get power to the gauges, it worked but when i drove down the street my car acted like it was in neutral and my overdrive button began blinking. it seems like a transmission issue. dr tweak says i may have blown a fuse, so i will go check on that later today. does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be going on?

i talked to a tranny specialist and he pretty much said the same thing, since my speedometer wasnt moving the computer may not know how fast im going and therefore may not know when to tell the car to switch gears. any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Your speedometer wasn't working? I'm almost positive now that it's just a blown fuse.

hmm your speedo isint working, and you installed indiglow gauges. seems like the needles are getting stuck on your indiglow gauges and thats whats causing you the problem. take the gauges off.

We solved the problem, it was a loose connector. All is well again.

yup!!! problem solved!!! thanx tweak! i dont know how it got loose but i pushed it back in and called the good doctor. by the way, lagos, the needles were getting stuck (that was another problem, so i sanded down the area where the back of the needle was getting friction. (celicab gave me that hint)
