after market support is there and parts are available only problem is that 6gc owners are just plain cheap. i hate to say it but its true. turbo kits/super chargers , fully adjustable coilovers and after market parts are out there only problem is they cost more then average.

for example theres a performance mod out there or about to be made and the community is quick to say "oh it cost to much i would rather (insert part here) instead of (insert part here)"

I can understand that if you want to play with the "big boys" BUT there is a difference in being CHEAP as stated, and items desired being EXPENSIVE. because somecant afford them dosent mean that theyre cheapskate, its just that the items sought after are EXPENSIVE. biggrin.gif normally i would be offended being called cheap, but its a forum and i respect all opinions and besides... i like u guys!

you are cheap just admitit lol wink.gif

you pay for wat you get.....if you want cheap...apc is more then there for you

but the 6gc world is normally comprised of pretty quality pieces IE: Jspeed, C-one, Varis, Tein, Koni, Suspension Techniques, so i'm pretty greatful we're a small under marketed group

are pieces are nice, quality and do a good job at upgrading what we need

Everyone on this forum bought their celicas for a certain reason, everyones reason is different.

When you buy a car you deal with the parts and stuff that you can get for it. There maybe cars with other cars with lots of parts for them and at half the price. Why dont people buy them instead of celicas?

I agree. I love the fact that we don't have much aftermarket parts. Ya we have some. But they are costy, and are hard to find. And thats mostly why there isn't many in the tuner world. Because people take the easy way and buy a mitsubishi, honda, or acura, or nissan, when they are already fast, and you go to our cars in the states and the people that are looking at them don't want to spend so much time and money on it. When we do, and look at us we have a lot of nice cars on this site, and may have spent a pretty penny on them, but who cares we are rare smile.gif

At first I really hated it, but now I kinda like it too. About 3 month ago I was planing on selling my Celica (yea I was beeing weird) and getting an Integra. But then integras are so overpopulated, they are everywhere and no body looks at them because they are everywhere. My celica never got any attention from people before but in the last couple of month I had like 6 people saying oh you bought a new car (any by new they were actually saying "new" NEW) and I was like NO its a 1995. I think its all because of my paint, its really shiny for a 1995. And I had like 5 people asking me if I want to sell my car (yea weird ****!!!). Now after checking out some integras and civic's I realized that Celica has the best interior that I've ever seen on an older car. Its just nice looking and doesn't feel cheap like honda interior does.

Jim, what am i gonna have to do with you. LOL.. No i'm not talking out of my A&& i'm just saying our cars are rare. There is only two other celica's in my town and they are old people. so a lot of tuners see my celica and half the time don't even know what kind of car it is. untill they get up close to it.

You guys are not seeing the big picture. Like we all know, the 6th Gen Celica population is far far smaller than say the Civic or Accord. In terms of aftermarket companies, this gives us less choices. And we don't have support for a lot of the big ticket items like turbo kits or superchargers b/c a company would have to put a lot of research and development costs into something like that, and they risk the demand being too low to offset the costs. I think this is one of the major reasons.
